Tapping onto the rising trend of crochet, I created the concept of a crochet kit as a souvenir for Singapore that captures the interest of both foreigners and locals. This specific packaging design is for the 'Cultural Holidays' edition of the kit, made to recognise and celebrate Singapore's diverse culture.
Opening up that iconic blue biscuit tin only to find that there is a sewing kit within is an iconic childhood experience. Taking this memory, I adapted it to make a unique souvenir by incorporating Singapore's own flair and replacing the sewing kit with crochet due to the rising interest in the craft.
i curated a moodboard to visualise the illustration style and colour scheme this kit should adopt, keeping in mind that the iconic blue colour has to remain an integral part of the design.
